Foxglove

I am so excited to be today’s stop on Aneela Hoey‘s Foxglove Showcase! Foxglove is Aneela’s latest fabric line with Cloud 9 Fabrics featuring 12 prints of beautifully saturated colors and it is stunning! When sneak peeks of Foxglove started showing up on Instagram, I just knew I had to have some. My favorite color combinations, modern floral motifs and adorable little foxes…..Yes please!

I am especially smitten with the oranges in this line. They are so bright and rich, such a beautiful pop of color for any project!

Of course mint green is always a favorite of mine too!

I designed this quilt especially for Foxglove and am currently working on a pattern. Keep an eye out for more details in the following weeks.

It was such a beautiful Northern California day that I couldn’t resist taking a gazillion outdoor pictures (okay that might be a slight exaggeration). I had to refrain from posting them all.

I free motion quilted this myself, using a meandering loopy petal, mimicking (in a very abstract way) the petals of the foxglove motif Aneela designed.

Foxglove by Aneela Hoey for Cloud 9 is available online and in stores now. Aneela is sharing her inspiration and more projects made for the Foxglove Showcase over on her blog Comfort Stitching. I’m so inspired by all of the wonderful projects by the other makers, I’ve already ordered some more fabric!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. The pattern you created to use with Foxglove is wonderful. I realize that I love lots of white in my quilts and the splashes of Foxglove(color) is perfect.

  2. Hi Patricia! It will be featured (with pattern) in issue 43 of Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine January 2017. I hope you’ll pick up the issue and make one. I’ll be posting about it from Instagram when the time comes as a reminder. Thank you for visiting my blog!
